Abstract:
To prevent heat damage while reducing the weight by making a housing of an exhaust turbo supercharger of aluminum.SOLUTION: Water flowing to a radiator 12 is controlled by a thermostat valve 22. A turbine jacket 27 in which cooling water flows is formed in a turbine housing 26 of an exhaust turbo supercharger 10. A supercharger return passage 29 leading toward the radiator 12 and a supercharger return bypass passage 30 leading toward a cooling water control section 9 of a cylinder head 2 are connected to the turbine jacket 27. In a warming-up state where the thermostat valve 22 is closed, the cooling water is caused to flow to the supercharger return bypass passage 30 to cool the turbine housing 26. The cooling water caused to flow out from the supercharger return bypass passage 30 is caused to flow into a common feed passage 32 and lead to a CVT warmer 14. This configuration can also contribute to an early temperature rise of CVT oil.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
