Abstract:
To prevent dropping of a temperature of catalyst in lean combustion with a premise of a supercharging.SOLUTION: A control method includes: changing an operating point of an internal combustion engine from a present operating point to a high-speed-and-low-load side, while actually maintaining axial output at constant through shifting a transmission (S3), when a catalyst temperature T_cat becomes lower than a criteria #1 (S2), during supercharging with a supercharging pressure Pb being higher than a criteria #2 (S1); and repeating the changing of the operating point to the high-speed-and-high-load side in a case where the supercharging pressure Pb is higher than the criteria #2 (S5) after waiting for a certain cycle until reflecting to the catalyst temperature T_cat to elapse (S4), with the catalyst temperature T_cat being lower than a criteria #1' (S6). Lowering target torque Te increases a degree of opening of a waste gate valve, thus the catalyst temperature T_cat to increase.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
