Abstract:
In an internal combustion engine obtained by arranging, in an intake passage, a fuel injection valve having a fuel reservoir formed at the downstream side of the valve body, the fuel injection control device according to the present invention estimates a fuel temperature INJFT in the fuel reservoir, and, when the fuel temperature INJFT becomes higher than a prescribed temperature during a warm-up operation in which the engine is left idling from startup, the fuel injection control device estimates that fuel injection will be implemented without liquid fuel remaining in the fuel reservoir, and reduces the injection pulse width more so than when fuel injection is performed with liquid fuel remaining in the fuel reservoir. In doing so, changes in the air-fuel ratio associated with an increase in the temperature of the fuel in the fuel reservoir are suppressed.
