Abstract:
To restrain inclination of an oil level OL2 by using the pump action of a scavenging pump 5 when the oil level inclines.SOLUTION: A scavenging pump 5 and a main oil pump are arranged in a lower part of a crankcase 6. The main oil pump sucks up lubricating oil from a suction port 9a of an oil strainer 9, and pumps it to each part. The scavenging pump 5 recovers the lubricating oil from a bearing part of a turbocharger, and returns it into the crankcase 6. An air introduction passage for negative pressure adjustment is connected to an oil suction passage of the scavenging pump 5, and an air introduction port 16a at a tip is opened in the crankcase 6. When an oil level OL2 inclines and reaches the air introduction port 16a, the lubricating oil near the oil level OL2 is returned into the crankcase 6 by the scavenging pump 5, and therefore further inclination of the oil level OL2 is restrained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
