Abstract:
An acoustic insulation system (10) for an internal combustion engine (20) mounted on a vehicle (1) includes: an acoustic insulation cover (50) configured to cover the internal combustion engine (20) with a gap interposed between the acoustic insulation cover (50) and the internal combustion engine (20). The acoustic insulation cover (50) includes a cover front portion (cover pieces 52, 54, 56 and 58) that faces forward of the vehicle (1). The cover front portion includes: a plurality of inlets (62, 64) for introducing the outside air into the interior of the acoustic insulation cover (50); and a plurality of inlet flaps (66, 68) configured to respectively open and close the plurality of inlets (62, 64). The acoustic insulation system (10) further includes a control device (80) configured to control the opening and closing of the plurality of inlet flaps (66, 68).
