Abstract:
To provide a spark plug for an internal combustion capable of improving ignitability, and provide an internal combustion having them.SOLUTION: A spark plug 1 for an internal combustion includes an insulator 3, a center electrode 4, a housing 2, and a cover part 5. The cover part 5 covers at least a part of the center electrode 4. A tip penetration hole 51 penetrated to a tip side is formed in the cover part 5. The diameter of the tip penetration hole 51 is reduced as directed to the tip end side. The diameter of an electrode tip end part 41 as a tip end part of the center electrode 4 is reduced as directed to the tip. At least a part of the electrode tip end part 41 is arranged inside the tip penetration hole 51. An annular jet path 52 is formed between an outer periphery inclined surface 411 of the electrode tip end part 41 and an inner peripheral inclined surface 512 of the tip penetration hole 51. The annular jet path 52 is formed so as to be directed to a plug center axis C as directed to the tip side. An inner peripheral end part 511 of the tip penetration hole 51 forms a discharge gap G between itself and the electrode tip parts 41 of the center electrode 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
