To enhance vaporization of a fuel injected from an injector in a port injection type internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: An internal combustion is constituted so that an injector 112 for injecting a fuel in a direction A not directed to an intake port is disposed on an intake passage 3 connected to the intake port of a cylinder 1, and the fuel is injected from the injector 112 at a timing when an intake valve 13 of the cylinder 1 is opened and intake air once sucked to the cylinder 1 flows back near the injector 112 in the intake passage 3 after an intake bottom dead center of the cylinder 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
