Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an internal grinding method of a cylindrical workpiece and its attachment, capable of grinding even the internal surface of a small diametral pipe.
CONSTITUTION: This is a method for grinding an inner surface 11 of a cylindrical workpiece 10, wherein a magnetic core 12, a bar magnet 14 and a tool 16 solidified with this bar magnet 14 are set up in an interspace partitioned by the inner surface 11, making the tool 16 contact with the inner surface 11, and a coil 18 is set up so as to surround the workpiece 10. An AC current is made to flow into the coil 18, forcing a magnetic pole at a tip of the core 12 into alternating magnetization, through which the bar magnet 14 is made into translation and the tool 16 is moved, and thus the inner surface 11 is ground.
