Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system for resolving problems encountered during a telephone conversation using an Internet phone (IP) of a conventional technology, and to provide a method and a system of generating and transmitting a ringback tone when making a call from a PSTN phone to the IP.
SOLUTION: A first terminal which is based on the Internet protocol recognizes a network type to which a second terminal that made a call setup request belongs, and generates ringback tone data to be sent to the second terminal based on the network type. Then, the first terminal inserts the ringback tone data into a response message to be sent to the call setup request, and transmits the response message to the second terminal.
