To provide an internet refrigerator having an entertainment function and its operating method capable of being remotely operated and of offering additional service other than an original function of a refrigerator.
An internet refrigerator consists of a modem for performing data communication with a remote communication apparatus through an internet, a first control section for controlling constituent components in the refrigerator, a touch panel for generating a key signal through user touch, a second control section for controlling other constituent components of the refrigerator including the first control section in response to the just-mentioned key signal and a key signal from the remote communication apparatus, a display section for displaying necessary information by the control of the second control section, and an internet connection apparatus using internal information from the internet refrigerator and information from an external communication apparatus. Additional service is provided using the internal information of the internet refrigerator and information from an external communication apparatus.
