Title:
INTERPOLATION METHOD OF PIXEL SIGNAL HAVING INTERLEAVING RELATION, SUCH AS CHECKERED ARRANGEMENT GREEN SIGNAL OF SINGLE-PLATE COLOR CAMERA
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3965457
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interpolation method of pixel signals having an interleaving relation, such as a checkered arrangement green signal of a single-plate color camera which can produce an interpolation signal at a broken-off element position, without decreasing the frequency band in an image of all conditions to the pixel signals having the interleaving relation.
SOLUTION: Pixel arrangement, having the interleaving relation, is converted into a pixel arrangement where pixels are present at all lattice points, and by using orthogonal transformation and reverse transformation to the pixel arrangement, a corresponding interpolated signal is produced between the pixels. Frequency coefficients, obtained from an actually existing pixel signal, are used, as they are, for the reverse transformation for producing the interpolation signal, so that the frequency characteristic of the interpolation signal is not decreased.
