Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the number of turns of interpole winding in the DC motor and suppress the occurrence of sparks therein by mounting the interpole of generally U-shaped cross section by way of nonmagnetic substance on the inner periphery of a yoke to thereby form north and south poles at the magnetic poles arranged circumferentially between openings thereof. CONSTITUTION:The interpole mounting members 51, 52 formed of nonmagnetic substance are secured to the inner periphery of a yoke 7, the interpoles 53, 54 are formed in generally U-shaped cross section partly having the openings 53a, 54a, which are mounted at the members 51, 52 as opposed with an armature 1. The interpole windings 55, 56 are so wound that one respective poles 53b, 54b become north poles at one openings 53a, 54a and the other poles 53c, 54c becomes south poles. In this manner it can reduce the number of turns of the interpole windings, reduce the total cross sectional area of the windings and yet dcrease the heat generation, and prevent the occurrence of sparks between a commutator and a brush.
