Abstract:
PURPOSE:To compose a translated sentence easily and to simplify the constitution of an interpreter by providing a display device for displaying Japanese, Japanese/English dictionary, translation sub-information and translated result and an input device for specifying Japanese or English sentence in the midst of display. CONSTITUTION:Japanese display part in a Japanese sentence file 10 and word display part in a Japanese/English dictionary file 15 of an interpreter are read out by means of a Japanese sentence taking out display 11 and word dictionary taking out display 16. The Japanese word to be translated, translation sub- information and editing command are specified through a mouth 12 as a pointing device, and the specification of the mouth input is analyzed by a mask input specification analysis 13. Through a keyboard 12 an alphabetical input is executed and applied to an English sentence edition display 24 together with outputs of an other English sentence specification 19, translation sub-input specification 20 and edition command analysis 21. Outputs of respective displays 11, 16 and 24 are processed with a window display 18, and the Japanese sentence, contents of the Japanese/English dictionary, translation sub-information and translated result are segmented and displayed on a CRT17.
