Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interrupting device of low power consumption capable of calculating the temperature of a wire with high accuracy, by calculating a value close to the actual temperature of the wire, even when calculation of the temperature of the wire is interrupted.SOLUTION: An interrupting device includes a calculation unit for calculating the temperature difference between the temperature of a wire and a predetermined first temperature recurrently, and calculating the temperature of the wire recurrently by adding the calculated temperature difference to the first temperature, and interrupts a current flowing through the wire if the temperature of the wire calculated by the calculation unit is a second temperature that is higher than the first temperature or more. The interrupting device further includes an interruption unit for interrupting calculation of the temperature of the wire by the calculation unit, a counting unit for counting the time when calculation of the temperature of the wire is interrupted by the interruption unit, and a determination unit determining an initial temperature difference for calculating the first temperature difference after resumption, depending on the time counted by the counting unit, when the calculation interrupted by the interruption unit is resumed.
