PURPOSE: To quickly and accurately confirm an intersection name corresponding to an intersection parameter displayed at present by simultaneously displaying the intersection name displayed as characters and data of the intersection parameter.
CONSTITUTION: A CPU 1 checks the presence or the absence of reception data of an intersection number through a terminal 6a of an I/O port 6 to confirm reception of reception data of the intersection number. The CPU 1 receives intersection number reception data byte by byte and stores reception data in a buffer memory 5 as the intersection number. The CPU 11 refers to an intersection number corresponding character code memory 3 by reception data of the intersection number to read out an intersection name character code and stores the code in the memory 5. The CPU 1 dot data corresponding to the intersection name character code stored in the memory 5 from a KANJI (Chinese character) font data memory with one character as the unit and stores this data in a prescribed area of the memory 5.
