To provide an intrahepatic gluconeogenesis inhibitor that has the effect to inhibit the gluconeogenesis from substances other than glycogen, and food and food formulation ingredients including the same.
This intrahepatic gluconeogenesis inhibitor includes mangeferin as a main component to inhibit the gene expression of the rate determining enzymes functioning at many rate determination steps when the gluconeogenesis is carried out in the liver.
