PURPOSE: To facilitate the inversion of a pattern along with a reduction in the processing time, by forming an image pattern of an area containing a positive image and an inversion image separately to create an image of each pattern.
CONSTITUTION: A data processing section 14 stores a data with flags FA1 and FA2 attached thereto indicating a positive image when patterns PA1 and PA2 are contained in a pattern PA like a numerical data DB(3,3) of a block B(3,3) and that with a flag FC1 attached thereto indicating a positive image when a pattern PC1 is done in a PC into a disc 12. A flag FB2 of the logic value 0 is attached when patterns PB1 and PB2 are contained inverted in the pattern PB. After such a sort processing, the pattern in the entire area is formed with the processing section 14 to be cut up according to block boundaries and a flag of a positive image is attached to the numerical data of the block. After this processing, the numerical data being sorted is read out and outputted to a generator section 16 and address for any of memory sections 20, and 22 is outputted to a drawing section 18 as horizontal raster information on the basis of the numerical data.
