Title:
INVERTER CONTROL CIRCUIT AND VACUUM CLEANER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2012249488
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an inverter control circuit for driving a motor with a simple cooling structure.

An inverter control circuit includes control means 25 that causes an inverter circuit 18 having plural upper/lower arms 18a and 18b to perform switching operation to drive a brushless DC motor 26 (referred to as motor 26). Switching elements 24 are capable of switching operation at a speed higher than switching elements 23. The control means 25 causes the switching elements 23 to turn ON at every 2π/3 in order in each phase voltage of 3-phase voltage applied to the motor 26 and causes the switching elements 24 to turn OFF to cyclically fix each phase voltage to drive the motor 26. Even when the switching elements 24 with higher switching speed are used for the lower arms 18b, since the switching loss at the upper arms 18a is controlled to be smaller than that at the lower arms 18b, uneven loss (heat generation) on each switching element is reduced resulting in a simple cooling structure.
