To reduce the incidence of anomalies in electrical components to a lower level than before and reduce torque fluctuations to a lower level than before.
An inverter control device 11 includes: failure detection means 110 for detecting a switching section experiencing a short circuit failure out of a plurality of switching sections; conduction control means 111 for controlling part or all of the switching sections without the short circuit failure into a conductive state; and switching section cooling continuation means 113 for continuing driving a cooling device 31 for cooling part or all of the plurality of switching sections in conjunction with the control by the conduction control means 111. This configuration can use the cooling device 31 for cooling the switching sections to suppress temperature rises, to thereby reduce the incidence of anomalies to a lower level than before. A suppressed temperature θsw of the switching sections can also reduce torque fluctuations to a lower level than before.
