Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect short circuit of the load circuit of an inverter at the time of start-up. SOLUTION: An interval for turning the semiconductor switch 11 in the upper arm and the semiconductor switches 15, 16 in the lower arm, an interval for turning the semiconductor switch 12 in the upper arm and the semiconductor switches 14, 16 in the lower arm, or an interval for turning the semiconductor switch 13 in the upper arm and the semiconductor switches 14, 15 in the lower arm is decreased as the voltage of a DC power supply is increased. According to the arrangement, short circuit of the load path can be detected surely regardless of fluctuation in the voltage of the DC power supply.
