Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit error in motor excitation, reduce sounds and cut down washing time in an inverter washing machine wherein an agitator is directly driven with a direct current brushless motor.
SOLUTION: The inverter washing machine with intermittent repetitive motion of normal and reverse rotations stops supply of electric current to the motor 7 when the motor 7 rotates to the reverse direction during the rotation following rotor positioning signals Hu, Hv and Hw indicating the position of rotation of rotor of the motor 7. The inverter washing machine is programmed to give a deceleration period of rotation rate of the motor 7 immediately before entering the stop period from normal and reverse rotation periods to apply brake to keep stopped state in the stop period. The motor 7 is driven so as to reduce the electric current by detection of the electric current supplied to the motor 7. Further, the inverter washing machine controls entwining of washing upon a detection of entwining of washing on the basis of the electric current.
