Abstract:
PURPOSE:To absorb energy to a resistor only when regenerative energy is generated by controlling the conducting timing of a semiconductor element having a self- extinguishing capacity connected to a DC link circuit. CONSTITUTION:A power source is converted through a rectifier 1 to a DC voltage, is smoothed through a reactor 2 and a capacitor 3, converted through a power inverter 4 into an AC voltage and is supplied to a motor 5. When the motor is shifted from power drive operation to regenerative operation, the feedback voltage Vl through an insulating circuit 13 from DC link circuits 2, 3 is compared with a frequency reference signal Vr set by a frequency setting unit 6. When the difference becomes higher than predetermined set erroneous voltage Vs, a semiconductor element 12 having self-extinguishing capacity is conducted by a gate circuit 14, and the regenerative energy is absorbed to the resistor 11. Thus, the energy is absorbed to the resistor 11 only at the regenerative time automatically, it can thus prevent the power loss.
