Abstract:
To provide a method for producing an iodinated aromatic compound, capable of stably producing the iodinated aromatic compound by using monochloroiodine.SOLUTION: A method for producing an iodinated aromatic compound comprises the steps of: preparing an aqueous solution containing water, monochloroiodine, and hydrogen chloride, where a content of the monochloroiodine is 30 mass% to 70 mass% and a content of the hydrogen chloride is 3 mass% to 20 mass%; preparing an aromatic compound as a reaction substrate; and obtaining an iodinated aromatic compound by mixing the aromatic compound as the reaction substrate and the aqueous solution, and reacting the aromatic compound as the reaction substrate and the monochloroiodine.SELECTED DRAWING: None
