Abstract:
To provide an ion exchange apparatus capable of predicting the exchange time of an ion exchange resin in an in-line state, without removing the ion exchange resin actually used in the ion exchange apparatus from this apparatus.SOLUTION: There is provided an ion exchange apparatus having an ion exchange column packed with ion exchange resin and configured to repeat an operation cycle of ion exchange treatment for passing a liquid to be treated through the ion exchange column to remove ions in the liquid to be treated, and a regeneration treatment for passing a regeneration agent through the ion exchange column to regenerate the ion exchange resin. The apparatus includes: a measuring unit that periodically measures time required for a water quality of an effluent discharged from the ion exchange column to reach a predetermined value after the regeneration agent is passed; and a prediction unit for predicting exchange time of the ion exchange resin based on the time periodically measured by the measuring unit.SELECTED DRAWING: None
