Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an ion generator capable of efficiently discharging ions, and an air cleaner including the ion generator.SOLUTION: In an ion generator according to the present invention, a voltage is applied between a discharge electrode 2 and an induction electrode 3 to generate ions. A bias voltage which has the same polarity with ions to be generated is applied on the induction electrode 3, and a pulsed voltage and a bias voltage which have the same polarity with ions to be generated are applied on the discharge electrode 2.
