To avoid excess over a memory band width of one memory, of a memory band width necessary for IP conversion.
An IP conversion device for converting interlaced image data to progressive image data includes a first memory, a correlation deriving part, a second memory, and an interpolating part. The first memory includes a DRAM wherein the (i-1)th field image, the i-th field image, and the (i+1)th field image are stored, and the second memory includes another DRAM wherein a correlation image is stored.
