Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IP transfer system for an ATM switch having an IP routing function capable of recognizing in which shaper buffer a routed IP packet exists without the need for referencing output connection information of a routing entry.
SOLUTION: The IP transfer system is provided with: a provisioning means 10 for providing a unique routing entry number 202 to a routing entry 201 of a routing table 104 storing cross-reference between a destination IP address of an IP packet 109 and an output connection 107; a cross-referencing means 60 for providing a number 203 corresponding one to one to the routing entry number 202 to the IP packet routed by using the routing entry 201; and a searching means 20 for searching an IP packet in a transmission waiting state in the shaper buffer 106 by using the number 203 corresponding one to one to the IP packet.
