Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an iron alloy improving the platability of a ceramic package type semiconductor and most suitable for use as a lead material for the semiconductor by specifying the amounts of Si and Al as impurities in an iron alloy contg. a specified amount of Ni.
CONSTITUTION: The composition of an iron alloy is composed of 30W55wt% Ni and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities and the amounts of Si and Al among the inevitable impurities are restricted to <0.1wt% Si and <0.05wt% Al. The composition may further contain 3W8wt% Cr. The other inevitable impurities do not cause any special problem unless the amounts exceed the ranges stipulated by ASTM.
