Title:
IRON BASED RARE EARTH ALLOY MAGNET AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3583116
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet with high coercivity and excellent rectangularity in demagnetization curve although containing less rare earth.
SOLUTION: The magnet has a composition which is described by a formula (Fe1-mTm)100-x-y-zQxRyTiz (wherein T denotes one or more elements selected from the group consisting of Co and Ni, Q denotes one or more elements selected from the group consisting of B and C, and R denotes one or more rare earth metals not substantially including La or Ce) and contains R2T14Q type compound crystal grains and a ferromagnetic iron based boride. The ferromagnetic iron based boride forms a film along the boundaries in between R2T14Q type compound crystal grains, and covers the grain surfaces.
