Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare the subject supplementary substance capable of preventing negative interactions between iron and calcium by including a specific mixture in a unit volume form in order to simultaneously administer the iron and calcium to a human and livestock.
SOLUTION: This supplementary material is a composition for simultaneously administering iron and calcium to a human or a lower animal and is prepared by including a mixture of an iron mineral source (preferably an iron-saccharide complex), a calcium mineral source (preferably calcium citrate-maleate), a citrate (or citric acid) or a tartrate (or tartaric acid) capable of partially relaxing calcium inhibiting actions on the iron together with an ascorbate and, as necessary, fructose capable of acting as an enhancer for enhancing the bioavalability of the calcium in a unit volume form.
