Title:
IRONING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04176499
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent danger such as a fire caused by the temperature rise of a motor, and to improve the safety, the handling conditions and the profitability of the title device, by a method wherein an iron main body is set in the state of a steams iron by a state-setting means.

CONSTITUTION: An iron main body 1 is ready for the state in which an electric current can be applied to a heater 2, when placed on a placing stand 9. A steam-setting means 21 is operated and set so that a base 3 on the iron main body 1 reaches a temperature at which steams can be ejected. A control means 22 begins to apply an electric current to a motor 17, and applies the electric current to the heater 2 through an electrode 10 until the base 3 reaches the temperature preset, and the electric current is also applied to the motor 17 until the steam setting is released. When the temperature of the base 3 reaches a temperature at which the steam can be ejected, the iron main body 1 on the placing stand 9 is lifted and ironing is done. When ironing work is finished or when the ironing work is discontinued halfway, the steam-setting means 21 is operated and steam setting is released. In this sway, temperature control is stopped by the control means 22 and it is also cut off to apply the electric current to the motor 17.
