PURPOSE: To improve the utilizing efficiency of a memory and to easily attain mixed management of a general data and a voice data with a command of a host system by providing a data control section operated in parallel with a host interface and a voice control section handling the audio signal with packet processing.
CONSTITUTION: A voice control section 104 operated in parallel with a data system control section 103 is provided to an adaptor connecting an ISDN network mounted onto a terminal equipment such as a generalpurpose station. An address number and a byte number storing an audio signal are designated by a recording/reproducing command and a relay command via a host system interface control section 101 from a host system are designated and the control section 104 handles the audio signal as a packet as a desired size and a status is returned to the host system at the end and relay. Through the constitution provided with a voice control section, a general data and a voice data are easily managed in mixture by the host command, the packet is selected to a desire proper size and the memory utilizing efficiency is enhanced.
