Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement an inexpensive power source device with failure compensation, capable of performing lighting using power from a battery, only when power of a night line has cut off because of a power failure at night.SOLUTION: A power source device for supplying power to an illumination device by receiving power supplied from a first power source supply system for supplying power at all times and a second power source supply system for supplying power in a period in which a predetermined condition is established includes: a rechargeable battery that is charged with power supplied from the first power source supply system; power switching means that can select power from the second power source supply system or power from the battery, and supply the power to the illumination device; and control means including power failure detection means for determining occurrence of a power failure on the basis of power from the first power source supply system. The power switching means is controlled so that, when the power failure detection means has detected occurrence of a power failure, power from the battery is supplied to the illumination device instead of power from the second power source supply system.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
