Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the operating efficiency of a continuous casting installation by disposing jacks, etc. between a base plate of a swiveling column and swiveling arm part then introducing jack-up on a swiveling frame via a conveying carriage, etc.

CONSTITUTION: A liner mounting stand 10 is installed to a casting yard side and a taking in carriage 11 is set thereon. First, joint bolts 15 between a swiveling arm part 1 and the swiveling frame 2 are removed. Actuators such as jacks 5 are placed on jack bases 6 and fixing beams 12, etc. are attached thereto to jack up by a prescribed height. The liners 14 are then placed on the carriage 11 and the introduced and centered to the prescribed position of the frame 2. The frame 2 is rotated by 90° each to the take in the liners 4 and to remove the jacks 5, etc. The liners are tightened by the bolts 15. Since the jacking up is executed without using an overhead crane, the operating efficiency of the installation is improved.
