The jam contains a powdery rice material which is produced by crushing roasted ancient brown rice, a prescribed kind of polyphenol material, and a prescribed kind of thickening polysaccharide. The method for producing the jam includes a roasting process of roasting ancient brown rice, a rice material producing process of producing a powdery rice material by crushing roasted brown rice, and a stirring heating process of charging a raw material which contains the produced rice material, a prescribed kind of polyphenol material, and a prescribed kind of thickening polysaccharide, into a stirring heating machine so as to heat the product while stirring.
