Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jet propulsion type planing boat providing jet quantity according to the degree of steering and keeping it possible to steer the boat even when water jet quantity from a water jet pump decreases, without increasing the weight. SOLUTION: The jet propulsion type planing boat spouts water pressurized and accelerated by the water jet pump from a jet port at the rear part and is propelled by reaction against the jet. When a throttle is off and a steering handle is steered, the steering is detected by a steering position detecting sensor, and the water jet quantity from the jet port is increased by temporarily increasing the engine speed, so that the steering function is maintained. The jet propulsion type planing boat constituted as described above is provided with the steering position detecting sensor Sp. Cumulative water jet quantity to be spouted while the engine speed is increased is changed according to the steering position detected by the steering position detecting sensor Sp.
