This cut jewel 1 having transparency is so formed that a girdle 15, being a circumferential ridge of a jewel body, is formed into a regular square in a top view, a crown 10 above the girdle is formed into a shape having a substantially flat table 11 at the center and a slope part 12 extending from the table to the girdle on the circumference, a pavilion 20 below the girdle is formed into a quadrilateral shape concentrically with its axis of the right square shape of the girdle in top view, the respective side faces 22 of the pavilion is formed with V-grooves 30 continuously extending from the centers of the respective sides 14 of the girdle toward the vicinity of a curette 21, being the top of the pavilion while gradually reducing the cross-section of the groove, and parts of the centers of the respective sides of the girdle are notched toward the slope part of the crown into V-grooves.
