To provide a fitting capable of solving problems of stock and mill ends, and capable of storing an upper stile of a sash in a transom for supporting the sash in a laterally movable manner.SOLUTION: A fitting 1 is configured in such a manner that in a transom 24, arranging an attachment 246 between an outdoor side part 2401 and an indoor side part 2407 makes it possible to expand the dimension in the depth direction of the transom 24, and when the dimension in the depth direction of the transom 24 is expanded by the attachment 246, a part of a driving member 212 is arranged in a space 249, and concurrently an upper stile 41 of a sash 4 is housed within the transom 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
