PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining fixture for joining soft materials such as Japanese cedar materials and paulownia materials by a rabbet joining method without using plywood materials, which cause a sick house syndrome for building materials, for forming a floor and a wall of a building and to provide a joining method using the joining fixtures.
SOLUTION: This joining fixture 7 is so formed that a male rabbet is fitted to cover a male rabbet side to be a joint end of a soft material such as the Japanese cedar material and the paulownia material, and is provided with a female rabbet bottom face regulating plate 10 regulating a female rabbet bottom face of another soft building material to be opposed to the male rabbet, or a swelling and projecting part for being fitted thereto. This joint fitting is characterized in that a covering plate 9 perpendicularly bent from the base end of the female rabbet bottom regulating plate 10, tightly stuck to the male rabbet bottom face of the male rabbet side end face, the swelling and projecting part, and an approximately intermediate position of the male rabbet upper face, and provided with nail holes at horizontally prescribed intervals in the upper face side base covering position of the swelling and projecting part is formed; and an insertion plate 8 perpendicularly bent from the tip of the covering plate 9 is extended in the joint direction of the female rabbet of the other soft building material.
