Abstract:

To facilitate knitting of Irish lace.

This Irish lace is knitted through the following processes: (1) motifs 1 such as necessary flowers, leaves and stems are knitted in advance, and areas where the motifs are mutually superposed are closed one another; (2) a paper pattern of the front body of the actual size is made; (3) net knit lines withdrawn from a ground net knit are drawn on a substrate with a size weldable on heating; (4) the sized face of the motifs 1 with the upper face turned upward on the paper pattern is turned downward, positioned on the sized substrate drawn with the lines, and met with the paper pattern; (5) the substrate is ironed to make the motifs 1 adhere thereto, and the body line is transferred onto the substrate; (6) the paper pattern is peeled off by inversion, and the areas where the net knit of the substrate positioned with the motifs 1 is abutted on the motifs 1 are joined and put to net knitting; the areas free of the motifs 1 proceed with net knitting, and when the all the net knitting is finished, a wool needle deal with threads; thereafter the substrate is peeled off.
