Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining method of a sheet bar and a joining device of the sheet bar which secures strength of a joined part by suppressing inclusion of an oxide on a joint interface.SOLUTION: In a joining method for joining a rear end of a preceding sheet bar 1b with a top end of a succeeding sheet bar 1a when performing continuous hot rolling of the sheet bars, the rear end of the preceding sheet bar and the top end of the succeeding sheet bar are abutted on each other, a gap covered with a tongue-and-groove joint prevention plate whose top and bottom are integrally attached with a clamp device is shielded by using inactive gas, thereafter, removal of oxide by means of dry ice blast is performed with respect to a joined surface of the rear end of the preceding sheet bar 1b and a joined surface of the top end of the succeeding sheet bar 1a, thereafter, heating by means of an induction heating device and upsetting by means of a pressing device are performed and the joining is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
