This joint connecting method for fusion-bonding the resin joint 2 to the existing resin pipe 1 comprises a straightening step of straightening a part 4 of fusion-bonding the resin joint 2 in the existing pipe 1 into a true circle or a substantially true circle by using the straightening tool 3, a moving and straightening step of moving the straightening tool 3 to the vicinity thereof from the fusion-bonding part 4 after the straightening step and straightening the moving part in a true circle or a substantially true circle by the straightening tool 3, a cutting step of cutting the fusion-bonding part 4 over the whole circumference by a cutting tool, a fusion-bonding step of fitting and fusion-bonding the resin joint 2 to the fusion-bonding part 4.
