Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing cost by bending a rubber sheet in its thin part that has been manufactured so as to have a thin part at least in one position by primary vulcanization into a circular arc by secondary vulcanization. SOLUTION: A rubber sheet 1 having thin portions 3a equal to the length of a circular arc portion between a seal body 5 and a fixed portion 6 in a joint material 7 after secondary vulcanization and a thin portion 3b having a width equal to the length of the U-shaped circular arc portion 5a of the joint sealing material is formed by primary vulcanization. And the joint material 7 having the U-shaped seal body 5 having a U cross section in the center and having a plate fixed portions 6 extending outward at both ends, is formed by forming the thin portion 3b in the center of the rubber sheet 1 into a circular arc by secondary vulcanization to ensure that it will reverse by 180 deg. and bending the thin portions 3a at two ends in a manner of expanding outward, thereby making it possible to manufacture the joint material 7 of various sizes at low cost, using a simple jig.
