Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To considerably simplify field-work at the time of sealing a joint part in two stages with a primary sealant and a secondary sealant.
SOLUTION: A secondary sealant 2 is composed of a first sealing member 6 and a second sealing member 7 of two-piece structure. Each of the sealing members 6, 7 is composed of a sealing base body 8 and an adhesive layer 9. The sealing base body 8 is formed of a closed cell foam body of synthetic resin with silicon added. The sealing members 6, 7 are previously fitted to wall panels 3, 4 to be installed at a building, and then both wall panels 3, 4 are installed at the building. Both sealing members therefore adhere closely to each other under compression so as to complete the secondary sealant 2 without field-work, and a primary sealant 1 is disposed on the outer surface side of the secondary sealant 2 at a construction site.
