PURPOSE: To provide a means for adding a brake function for restraining relatively separating movement of a body connected with a first shaft from a second shaft and immobilizing them in the axis line direction, at a low cost and in an easily manufacturing and assembling method.
CONSTITUTION: This joint body 14 connected with a first shaft and a second shaft 12 are sealed with a bellows type boot 34, with which a free end 24 of the second shaft 12 inserted into a cavity 16 copes with the movement of the second shaft 12 in the axis line X-X direction by operating with cavity bottoms 28, 32 and the end 24 is supported on the bottoms 28, 32 under a certain load, simultaneously a function for braking stress by a force applied to the second shaft 12 in the axis line X-X direction between the second shaft 12 and the body 14 can be provided. The boot 34 has material and configuration where it can elastically deform and cause brake force, and the body 14 is provided with a series of notches on a first end 36 so that position in the axis line X-X direction of the first end 36 of the boot 34 can be adjusted, and is provided with a means for fastening radially.
