Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress thermal deformation at the time of welding-jointing a pressformed yoke with a sleeve for maintenance of good assembly and operating performance of a joint by welding-jointing the mutual engaging part of the press-formed yoke and the sleeve by a laser beam.
SOLUTION: Positioning for assembling a yoke stub 1 and a spline sleeve 11 is conducted easily and accurately by fitting the fitted shaft part 4 of the yoke stub 1 to the inner periphery recessed part 14 of the jointing side end part 13 of the spline sleeve 11. After assembly by positioning in this way, a three-layer engaging part is formed so that the outer periphery of the fitted shaft part 4 of the yoke stub 1 may be covered with the jointing side end part 13 of the spline sleeve 11, and the outer periphery of the jointing side end part 13 may be covered with the cylindrical engaging part 24 of a dust cover 21, and a laser beam is applied to the engaging part for laser beam welding to conduct integral jointing. Therefore, the yoke stub 1 and the spline sleeve 11 are jointed to the dust cover 21 at the same time, thus it is possible to conduct assembling work with high efficiency.
