To configure a firm and excellent-durability structure not generating a problem of a burr even if using a metal upper case cover, allowing miniaturization, and not generating unnatural force to a board in time of operation.
In this joystick 20, the inside of a case cover body 21 formed by abutting a lower case cover and the upper case cover is provided with: a set of turnable upper and lower arms 22, 23 orthogonal to each other; an operation stick 28 penetrating elongate holes of the respective arms and extending outside the case cover body; and a spring energizing and holding the set of arms to neutral positions. The joystick 20 has a variable resistor outputting a signal corresponding to a turn angle of each the arm. The case cover is formed by a metal outer case part 18a and a resin inner case part 18b nearly overlappingly disposed inside the outer case part. The lower case cover is formed of a resin member, and a rotary pivot shaft of the arm is sandwiched by a shaft bearing part of the inner case part and a shaft bearing part 41 of the lower case cover, and is turnably supported.
