Title:
KANJI INPUT METHOD FOR DOCUMENT PREPARING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04177454
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the input efficiency of KANJI (Chinese character) by allocating the numbers to the patterns including a 1st stroke making order of the horizontal and vertical lines, the brush-up, the dots, etc., and the subsequent 2nd stroke making order in order to sort these patterns and then designating the KANJI based on the pattern numbers.

CONSTITUTION: The form of a (1st stroke making order) of KANJI is sorted into the horizontal lines, the vertical lines, the brush-up, the dots, the horizontal broken lines, and the vertical broken lines. Thus nine types of stroke making order patterns are prescribed and the numbers l-9 are added to these patterns as a 'family'. Then this family is fractionated into nine types of patterns which are prescribed in the order of the 1st and 2nd stroke making orders. The numbers l-9 are also added to the fractionated patterns as a 'group'. As a result, 81 patterns are prescribed as the 'typical radicals'. Thus all radicals are sorted based on the typical radicals. Then the numbers of both 'family' and 'group' are designated for input of KANJI.
