Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain easy retrieval of KANJI (Chinese character) having a desired number of strokes in case the KANJI with which the grasp of the accurate number of strokes is impossible is desired, by retrieving the KANJI having the number of strokes close to the input number of strokes just with the input of a standard number of strokes. CONSTITUTION:In a KANJI processing mode a numerical input key 5 is pushed to obtain a desired number of strokes and then a stroke number entry key 7 is pushed to display KANJI characters of '20' having the information on the relevant number of strokes on a display matter 2. Then a display character selection input key 3 corresponding to the desired KANJI is pushed for execution of the input processing. If no desired KANJI is included in the 20 characters displayed, the key 7 is pushed again for display of the next 20 characters. In such a way, every 20 characters are displayed automatically by a machine up to + or -3 strokes of the input number of strokes. then the KANJI having a desired number of strokes is retrieved. Thus, it is possible to retrieve easily the KANJI having a desired number of strokes just with the input of a standard number of strokes even with the KANJI with which the grasp of the accurate number of strokes is impossible or even in case the input number of strokes have errors.
