PURPOSE: To provide a KARAOKE (orchestration without lyrics) device capable of performing the musical sound synthesis of accompaniment music and efficiently controlling the various kinds of peripheral equipments to be connected.
CONSTITUTION: A CPU 4 controls internal equipments such as a communication I/F circuit 1, a control panel 2 and a sound source 15, etc., and performs the synthesis of the musical sound signals of the accompaniment music and the display of background pictures and lyrics, etc. Also, the CPU 4 controls the peripheral equipments such as an LD1 changer 20 and a DSP amplifier 22, etc., based on a peripheral equipment constitution table TB2 stored in a RAM 7 and the various kinds of control programs stored in an extended ROM 6. The leading addresses of the control programs are stored in the control address of the peripheral equipment constitution table and the CPU 4 refers to the peripheral equipment constitution table TB2 and selects and executes the control program of the peripheral equipment of a controlled system. Also, by changing the table TB2, the peripheral equipment to be controlled is changed. In this case, the peripheral equipment constitution table is fetched from the outside through the communication I/F circuit 1 and an FDD 3.
